Lockhart River Dances Again
BY CHRISTINE HOWES
It’s the third year in a row the Paytham Malkari Dance Festival has been held in Lockhart River since 2000, and each year, as organisers learn from the previous year’s festival, it seems to be getting bigger and … happier.
“It’s really good to be back on Country, see families, and dancing with all the other communities, coming in and enjoying the celebration together.”
